From Portland stone, to London stock brick, timber, concrete and glass, London’s built form delights in a variety of materials and textures.

A special NLA speedtalk, taking place on The Building Centre Open Day in celebration of its 80th anniversary, will invite a series of speakers to present for just five minutes each on the materials that have inspired them in their work in London and how they are being used now to shape new architecture and development.
