New London Quarterly was named magazine of the year (non-weekly) at the IBP awards last night.
The award, made ahead of other shortlisted entries the Architectural Review and Planning in London, was presented by Boris Johnson’s aviation advisor Cllr. Daniel Moylan, Transport for London and award sponsor Ron Sidell of Sidell Gibson, at the Four Seasons Hotel.
The award judges noted that NLQ ‘clearly delivered to its readership’, praising the magazine for ‘its good, clear design, photography and graphics with a strong format and a good range of articles’.
The weekly magazine of the year went to The Architects’ Journal, while there was also a lifetime achievement award for Sheri Besford’s work at BDP.
