Nicola co-founded Social Life in 2012, as a centre of excellence in placemaking and innovation. All of Social Life’s work is about the relationship between people and places.

Before this, Nicola was a Director of the Young Foundation, leading work on local social innovation, communities, wellbeing and resilience, advising central and local governments and third sector agencies in the UK and internationally. Nicola has worked across sectors, for the Home Office and homelessness charities. She is a Young Foundation Fellow, a fellow of the Academy of Urbanism, a mentor for Bethnal Green Ventures and a Design Council BEE

Creative places for children
