Philip Glanville

Mayor of Hackney

LB Hackney

Philip was elected Mayor of Hackney in September 2016, after serving as the borough’s Cabinet Member for Housing for three years.

Philip has driven the delivery of thousands of genuinely affordable homes, leading London’s biggest estate regeneration programme and overseeing 1,670 new homes for rent and low-cost home ownership being built between 2014-18. As Mayor, Philip will double the number of Council homes built from 2018 and make Hackney the first borough to see 500 homes built at Sadiq Khan’s London Living Rent.
