Caroline Russell, Green Party Member of the London Assembly since May 2016, chairs the Assembly’s Economy Committee.

She is working on securing and maintaining London’s resilient economy including how to diversify London’s night time economy. 

Caroline is also the Environment Committee deputy chair and is a member of both the Transport Committee and LFEPA.

Caroline has lived in Islington since 1992. She is a walking and cycling campaigner who was elected as the sole opposition councillor in Islington in 2014.

Formerly an artist and lecturer, Caroline retrained as a civil engineer.
