Designing for the Great Estates: Three architects present

Tuesday 3 December 2013

08:30 - 09:30 (Registration from 08:00)

NLA, The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT

To accompany NLA's current exhibition ‘Great Estates: how London’s landowners shape the city’, join NLA for a free breakfast talk in which three architects will present three projects that are currently being undertaken for the some of the 'original' Great Estates.

With many of the Estates having owned areas of central London for several centuries, how far is their longer-term attitude to investment, development and management influencing the way a project is designed and developed? How important is new, good quality architecture to securing the long-term future of an estate?
