Streets are places too – the Mayor's vision for world-class streets and roads in London

Friday 20 September 2013

08:30 - 13:00 (Registration from 08:00)

NLA, The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London WC1E 7BT

NLA's public realm conference will bring together representatives from across the public and private sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities for public realm investment, development and design in the capital.

What do the recommendations of the Roads Task Force mean for London’s public realm? With new impetus for a more joined up, strategic approach to streets and roads throughout the capital, what are the implications of the RTF on planning and development in London? How can the report’s recommendations be implemented and where else are there successful public realm strategies that we can we learn from? With increasing cuts to Local Authorities, how will we fund public realm schemes? And just how key is the public realm to London’s on-going regeneration?
