London is about to see an explosion in the number of tall buildings, as the capital's population increases and investors pour money into London real estate.

There are now over 230 buildings over 20 storeys high in the pipeline to be built over the next decade in the capital.

This NLA half day conference forms part of the wider NLA Insight Study looking at tall buildings in London, and will bring together policy makers, local authorities, agents and developers to examine whether London has got the right systems in place to ensure that tall buildings are being built in the right places, to the right scale and with the right level of investment in infrastructure and public realm.

Smarter London

We live in the Age of Digital Information. Every part of our city – our buildings, services, transport and movement – can be recorded, designed, controlled or monitored using computer technology. Individually these pieces of information are smart – we can manage building energy systems, traffic lights and the movement of buses.
