The Farrell Review calls for a new era of Place Review; multi-disciplinary panels that work collaboratively and constructively, engage early with a remit that extends outside the red line of new development.

This half-day conference highlighted the recent transformation of design review, reviewed the most effective ways of promoting collaboration between communities, local planning authorities and the development sector and considered how built environment expertise can best be brought into places and blended with local expertise. How could these approaches inform our thinking as we start to make place review a reality?
