With Tech City Croydon one of London's fastest growing TMT clusters, Boxpark opening up, and calls for the creation of an innovative new ‘Growth Zone', has Croydon's time finally come? Strategic plans are in place to deliver a £5.25bn regeneration programme for 23,600 new jobs and 8,300 new homes by 2031. So what is the vision for Croydon? And how is it perceived in the marketplace?
This afternoon conference brought together local stakeholders, including council representatives, developers and occupiers to present forward strategies, major developments and future investment opportunities. The briefing also includeed a session of fresh thinking presented by those who are working to shape the future of Croydon. The briefing was then followed by afternoon study tours of the surrounding developments where there will be opportunity to hear directly from key developers. Discussions continued with networking drinks in the evening.
