NLA’s annual City of London event at the Guildhall will examine the future for development and infrastructure in the City of London. What does the City of London Corporation need to do to make sure that the City remains the world’s top financial and business centre? What impact is the political uncertainty of major recent events such as Brexit and the General Election having on current occupiers?

How is the property industry responding to this, and to the increasingly changing occupier base? How can the City set the right environment for the new, diverse tenant mix that is emerging? What are the key placemaking, public realm and transport strategies the City is looking at to keep the Square Mile an attractive place to do business for these new occupiers, and how is it working to change the perception of the City to its current and future occupiers and visitors?

Following a networking lunch, delegates can enjoy afternoon tours of recently completed and nearly completed developments and focused area tours, before enjoying networking drinks at Angel Court hosted kindly by Fletcher Priest.

Angel Court is the last tower of the ‘first generation’ of tall buildings in the Bank of England Conservation Area. Replacing all but the core of the former 25 storey 1970s tower, Fletcher Priest created the opportunity to increase and improve the neighbourhood’s public urban space as well as providing over 60% additional high quality office space within a prominent building.
