Creating Places Where People Want to Live: Photographs to celebrate 50 years of L&Q

Wednesday 4 September – Saturday 28 September 2013

How do you create places where people want to live?

Especially-commissioned photographs mark L&Q’s 50th anniversary year and showcase their work, while an introduction by Sir Terence Conran describes how “the way we live and the quality of our homes have changed beyond belief” over the last five decades.

With management of 70,000 homes across London and the south east and 12,000 new homes in the pipeline, L&Q’s work is an integral part of the changing face of the capital.  The housing association and leading residential developer aims to deliver people-orientated, high quality and affordable design which meets the needs and aspirations of the people who live here.

Architectural photographer Benedict Luxmoore captures the variety and sense of place L&Q has created in the images on display here as well as in the book which accompanies the exhibition.
