Young People

NLA and The City Centre have launched a pioneering new programme for Young People to inspire the next generation about London’s built environment and the huge range of careers within it.

The programme promotes STEM careers in Planning, Architecture, Landscape Design and Urban Regeneration through networking sessions and careers advice evenings. All sessions are free!

Please contact Lettie McKie, Head of Learning, for general information on our Learning programme or Hannah Askari, Learning Coordinator, to book your visit.

Thinking about a career in the Built Environment? Our after school sessions give you the chance to meet professionals and get your questions answered on a whole range of career and study options. Whether your considering structural engineering, architecture, urban planning or construction careers we can introduce you to people working and teaching in the field.

Our sessions are for everyone. You might not know what you want to do yet or be putting together your final UCAS applications. You might like art and design or you might prefer geography and STEM subjects. Whatever your talents and interests you’ll be surprised at what the property and development might be able to you offer you. From surveying to landscape architecture, lighting design to model making it encompasses a huge range of careers you might not have heard of before.

Our events will help you find out more to match up your skills and ambitions with the choices available. We have events for young people at every stage in the process happening throughout the year.

More advice sessions coming up soon in 2018!
