Investment into transport and infrastructure is critical to supporting London’s growth.

How do we maximise the development potential of major infrastructure projects to unlock new areas of housing and regeneration? How are approaches to active transport – walking, cycling and public transport – making us rethink how we travel and reducing our dependency on cars? How can we take a more integrated approach to transport, water, energy, waste, green infrastructure and smarter digital connectivity?

NLA’s year-round Transport & Infrastructure programme brings together experts to look at these particular issues in depth and question what London needs from its infrastructure. It examines the future resilience of the capital through innovation in smart infrastructure, whilst an annual Active Travel Summit addresses the future of walking and cycling – a mayoral priority.
